JULY/18/2002: Version FT100-SuperControl 0.70.1 update: ### As of this version it will be possible to use all the memory banks with all the features. It is now possible to read from the memory banks as well as save desired memory entries. The buttons "MEM write", "BC write", "HF write", "VHF write", "SAT write", "DUAL write", "BEAC write" and "REP write" are now functionning. Please note, that the memory banks are limited to five entries in the demo version. There are unlimited memories possible in the registered version. ### In the program part for the telnet dx-cluster you now have the possibility to save your own TCP/IP-adresses including the port-numbers. Due to the fact, that the permanent IP-numbers in the program are sometimes not working, you now will be able to save your own numbers. You can save up to twelve different entries to a new window now. These entries will be saved to the Windows-registry database for a fast recall possibility. ### The date-selector within the skedbook entry has been changed. The previously used calendar function caused several problems on different systems. Also a correct predefined date will be used now, if we start this function and if we want to save a new skedbook entry. ### A correct predefined date will also be used within the logbook entry now. In earlier versions a wrong date was displayed while trying to save a new logbook entry -> fixed. ### Bugfix: there was an error when we've tried to save a logbook entry without a callsign. The program crashed straightaway. -> fixed. ### Bugfix: Another error has been occured when we have minimized the ARS-rotator program window to the task bar. If we tried to start again this feature from the menu, the program crashed immediately -> fixed now. ### The special memory banks are now able to automatically detect rotor interface data when single memories are to be saved to the corresponding special memory bank. The azimuthal and elevational data out of the ARS-interface program part will be automatically saved to the desired memory bank and the memory entry will be automatically activated for a later usage (SER = 1). Of course the ARS-program part must be activated and must be connected to the external ARS-interface program if you want to use this function. ### On slower computers sometimes we can watch the mouspointer become shortly some kind of hourglass while the ARS-interface program part is active. This is because we exeedingly use the internal DDE-interface to gain data from the external ARS-interface program. To prevent these "timing-problems" i made a small checkbox which you can use to disable the polling of rotor status data. This data is only used for general information about the actual state of the rotator itself. Of course you are able to read about this data in the external ARS-interface program if you wish.
11/JUN/2002: Version 0.58.1 beta update: ### Direct frequency input is now possible without errors via the buttons "ENTER VFO1" and "ENTER VFO2". After a mouseclick on one of these buttons, you'll be able to enter a desired frequency either via the number pad on the keyboard or with the small number block in the software. At the end of the entry you must either use the "ENTER-KEY" on your keyboard or if you made the entry with your mouse, you have to use the small "OK"-button in the software. Please note that you must use correct separation points. ### Bugfix: There was an error in the clarifier display -> fixed now. ### You now can use the buttons "A<B", "A>B" and A<>B" to be able to copy contents of one VFO to the other VFO. ### At least one OM reportet that on his computer it was not possible to load single memories out of the different memory banks. So i decided to review this part and i was able to fix some stuff. So for the future we can use the following frequency format: 999.999.999 within these memory banks. This is good, if we want to be compatible and use the database from the FT847-SuperControl program. The FT-100 transceiver will normally need a format like 999.999.99. The last digit will be internally truncated, so we can provide full compatibility between the different databases out of different SuperControl software packages. ### Loading from special memory banks is now working with all the different settings there. These memories are providing the possibility to use Offset, DCS, ENC, DEC, AZ and EL data. ### Added the ARS rotator interface for the use with the special memory banks. If you are going to use a special memory entry, where AZ/EL data has been saved before, then it would be possible to control your rotator and point automatically to the predefined direction if you have the ARS-interface installed. ### Added the Logbook- and the Skedbook-functions. ### Bugfix: We had lately discovered some indicator errors when the display showed ENC and DEC data. It was not possible to show values under 100.1. This problem has been fixed now. ### Unfortuneately i discovered a great performance loss while using the frequncy tuning and the frequency scanner functions. The reason for this is, that the FT-100 transceiver can use only a serial speed of 4800 Baud for all the communication. So i have to develop these functions completely new and i hope that also the new functions will be useful then, also if they are not as fast as the functions in the Software for the FT-847 transceiver. The FT-847 transceiver is able to use a serial speed of 57600 Baud. We'll see...
21/MAY/2002: Version 0.56.2 beta Update: ### You can see several improvements to the GUI (graphical user interface). ### Added lots if internal stuff and improved the general design. ### Added the memory databases to load from. It's not yet possible to save memories from the root program window. You could add memories by using the menu features yet. It is still a lot of work to do, so please stay tuned for the next update !
27/MAR/2002: Version 0.0.16 Update: ### Initial release of the first beta version of FT100-SuperControl. Like the first projekt (FT847-SuperControl), there is also a possibility to spy and try every program stage of FT100-SuperControl and if you wish, you can tell us your opinion, your needs, wanted improvements and your ideas, so maybe you can find it sometime in the program. We hope, FT100-SuperControl will become as unique and famous as the program for the FT-847. The first release of FT100-SuperControl provides all the basic CAT-commands which are taken out of the FT-100 operating manual. Most of the work went to the part to poll the clarifier data from the transceiver. Unfortuneately it is not possible to control the clarifier from the software, but maybe in future we can find some undocumented cat commands which will widen the functionality. To search for undocumented CAT-commands you can find a program part, where you can test all the possible variations of opcodes. Of course you'll use this part at your own risk, the author is not responsible or liable for any defective parts of your transceiver !
