The Diamond Bar Repeater is an open 2 meter machine with good regional coverage. The repeater operates on 146.640 with a -600 KHz
offset and a PL tone of 167.9. The City of Diamond Bar sponsors the
repeater and W7BF is the repeater trustee.
DBARS runs a net on the repeater
every Tuesday night at 8:00pm except for meeting
nights. Guests are always welcome.
When using the repeater, please observe
the following guidelines.
| If the repeater is in use and you have emergency traffic, say the word
"break" during the previous callers squelch tail. |
|
| If you are in a QSO and you hear the someone saying "break", immediately
acknowledge the break and stand by. |
|
| If the repeater is in use and you would like to join in the QSO or make a
call, say your call sign during the previous callers squelch tail. The
parties involved in the QSO should acknowledge you at their earliest
possible convenience. |
|
| Please wait for the squelch tail beep before responding during a QSO. This
both prevents the repeater from timing out and allows others a chance to
break in. |
|
| The repeater operates with a 2 minute timer. Be sure to keep your
transmissions shorter than the timeout. |
|
| If your QSO is being bothered by harmful or malicious interference, do not
acknowledge it! If possible, check the reverse and see if you can copy the
signal. If so, take note of the time, date, S level and the direction your
antenna is pointing if applicable. Report all the information at a later
time to the repeater trustee, Barry Flint, W7BF ([email protected]) |
|
Please note that the Diamond Bar Repeater operates on the same frequency pair
as the Mt. Otay repeater in San Diego County. Users of the Diamond Bar Repeater
who have high level antennae or who operate with high power should be
considerate of users of the Mt. Otay Repeater. Always use the minimum power
needed to access the repeater.
