The mysterious "LF corona flower" grows from 5..10 kilovolts from a 40-watt power oscillator (a kind of "solid state tesla transformer") applied to a few thin copper wires. Some Low Frequency Experimenters have similar displays at the top of their antennas to scare the neighbours. |
