Government. You can see the monument dedicate to
Portuguese Discoveries in S.Tome Island. In 1975-After the Independence of S.
Tome & Principe, by request of S. Tomé & Principe Government and
Portuguese Government also, CT1CTZ remain as a cooperant for another 3 years
training and helping in different ways the NEW BORN NATION of DEMOCRATIC
REPUBLIC OF S.TOMÉ & PRINCIPE...
The Islands of S. TOMÉ & PRINCIPE,an
INDEPENDENT NATION since 1975 are two sister Islands located in the
equatorial zone of Guinea Gulf, and located in NE-SW alignment. The main
island is S. TOMÉ wich is 249NM away from the meridian, and 174NM following the
west African coast parallel, while Principe is just 93NM from her bigger
sister. The local people are quite friendly;their warm hospitality CT1CTZ
shared for more than 14 years; so, all the wonderful memories should always
be cherished. Among others minor isles belonging to
the same Nation,the exotic isle of Rolas has the curious particularity being
cut right through by the equator line.This was purposely marked with two
rocks, so that visitors photograph while stepping on both the hemispheres. "S92LC"is also
CT1CTZ--previously Started as a Radio-Amateur in 1959 with Callsign
"CR8LC" in Goa India, former Portuguese Colony, being very active
CW Mode since. S92LC/CT1TZ- Still Holding
