Elise and Joe White Scholarship Fund
SCHOLARSHIP QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE SELECTION PROCESS WHO MAY APPLY:
Any licensed female amateur radio operator who is a Colorado resident.
QUALIFICATIONS: Applicant must be pursuing post-secondary education including an area of technology. Applicant must be enrolled in an accredited school, in or out of state, and have completed the equivalent of: · Two equivalent semesters toward an Associate Degree and/or · Four semesters toward a Bachelors Degree.
APPLICATION PROCEDURES: Applications can be requested from COLORADO Y-L'S, INC. president anytime during the year. All forms must be completed and sent to the president bearing a postmark of December 31, or earlier, of the current calendar year.
PROCEDURES FOR SELECTION COMMITTEE: All applications will be mailed to the current president of COLORADO Y-L's INC., and the president will appoint a committee of three members to serve for the current scholarship year. The president will act as a non-voting advisor and facilitator. The president also will pre-screen the applications. The screening procedure may include verifying information by contacting the school. The applicant needs to sign the enclosed Release form.
AWARDING THE SCHOLARSHIP: 1. The president will announce the winner of the Elise and Joe White Scholarship. 2. The award funds will be sent to the institution as soon as possible to apply toward tuition. 3. It is requested that the recipient attend a COLORADO Y-L's, INC. function to receive acknowledgement of the award. 4. If the quarter/semester is not completed recipient must contact the president of Colorado Y-L's for any further action, including a possible return of the monies.
