DUTY RECORDS

　A 7.4 seismograph degree earthquake occurred in central of Taiwan island in early morning 01:47 Sep. 21. It crashed many people's house and family: more than ten thousand house destroyed, 7575 house half toppled, 2192 people died, 8735 people been injured. And till now; still have more than 4000 people camping in the park or schoolyard.

DISASTER AREA SITUATION:

Disaster area are disorderly, buildings toppled, roads not thoroughfare, bridge collapsed, thousand people was hurts or dead, no electricity and any communication, Rescue team came from everywhere, but no to let outsiders know that how huge catastrophe there was.

　

MAJOR MISSION:

1. Assisted victims transmit the safety message to outside disaster area , to their families and relatives.

2. Assisted local government communication system.

3. Directed the succor goods and materials to store up in right place.

4. Assisted local Emergency Medical Radio Communication Net.

DISASTER AREA SITUATION:

Some of place recovered electricity. Telephone system just began to built up. But many town and small villages still in unknowing condition, roads still not thoroughfare, people missing, no electricity power, and also, no way to communicate.

　

MAJOR MISSION:

To build 4 different type radio communication net around Puli and nearly villages.

1. Disaster Area Radio Net：Send trained staff into roads not thoroughfare's village, to build the radio station, and keep communication with Puli Command Center.

2. Local Radio Net：inside Puli town, communicate with victims camps, police department, fire brigade, military, and the other government department.

3. Emergency Medical Communication Net：Connect all hospital and field hospital in disaster area.

4. Outer Station Communication Net：Using High Frequency to transmit message to outer station from disaster area..
