ALQUEVA DAM

 With The maximum height of 96 meters, it will create a lagoon with an area of 250Km2, of which 35Km2 are situated in Spain. It will have a total capacity of 4150 hm3, of which 3150hm3 are utilized.


HIDROELECTRICAL CENTRAL

Equipped with 2 turbine/pumps with 120 MVA each, capable of producing around 350 giga/watts a year, double the necessary to supply both Évora and Beja districts.
The other infrastructures are : Pedrogão Dam, Primary irrigation system.
