Special Report

Im attaching 2 photos taken on October 4th at the Sunnyside (WA) Sunshine Days Parade. Our oldest son, Brian Winter (KA7IAC), is running for Yakima County Sheriff and this would be the last opportunity for his Mom to see him in his campaign car. The staff at Prestige Care here in town where Marilyn is a resident - went the extra mile in making sure that Marilyn and 5 other residents got to the parade route. I got to ride "shotgun" with Brian and his wife, Tammy. She drove and he sat up on the back seat of the borrowed 1957 Chevy Bel Aire. As we approached Marilyn and the others I could see the Activities Director holding Marilyns face and pointing at Brian who was waving and calling "Mom! Mom!" She responded with out-stretched arms, a huge smile and a cry of "Brian! Brian!" It was a very emotion-al moment.

The first photo shows the Chevy with myself, Brian and his wife, Tammy, as we came abreast of the wheelchair residents. The second photo was taken an instant later of Marilyn as she watched her family passing by.

I thought perhaps this could be a blessing for the many who have prayed for Marilyn during these last ten months and for those who are aware of our sons campaign running, as he is, as a "conservative Christian."
