Rocky Mountain Report:

November 2014

The Rocky mountain section continues to have only a few hams so no Rocky Mountain net has taken place. I had plans to attend the glacier Ham Fest in northern Montana, but due to a two week illness, I was unable to make it. I had hoped to represent the ARMS group there with a display. In the last BEAM edition I asked if there was any interest in an ARMS net in the evening on 75 or 40 meters. So far there has been only a few interested. I still hope to see this idea take off and use this net to connect with the Rocky Mountain group and to include others as well. I think Mike K7PTL is having some success with checking into the NW Net, but I am a little light from my location. Perhaps with the longer nights this condition will improve. I still like the old tube radios, but am getting a little burned out with repairs so I may sell off a few. I am hoping to work the 160 meter band in the future as I have acquired an amplifier that covers that band.  My antenna is marginal so an amp helps. I would to take a class in MS Publisher this spring.

Gods best to all on the ARMS Net
