Frank, AG0M's rotor replacement Saga

On August 29 2025 ARMS President Tom Hauskins and his wife Deb delivered a new/used rotor to Frank AG0M to replace the one he has that stopped working. They were joined by Lew NØCXY for a day of fellowship fun and visiting.

Frank is in his captains chair, at the helm, and ready to rock and roll. 

What a nice ham shack and so well equipped and organized. Frank has a buddy coming to install the rotor for him on his 60 foot tower. The fellow puts on his climbing belt and up he goes. What a chore that would be for me. Hi Hi! Then he's back in business with a beam that will rotate at 100% operation again, and that great AG0M signal going out in all directions once more.

Franks feed line setup so he is able to mow under the lines.

This is a set of 4 RG 213 cables to feed his various antennas and the control cable to run his rotor. There is a Dipole antenna, long wire loop antenna, 2 Meter vertical he claims to us as a lightening arrestor/rod, and of course his famous 5 Element Beam.

This picture finishes the cable run to his infamous 5 element beam that puts all that wonderful RF into the airways for us to hear, and we can all be in fellowship on ARMS.

What an amazing day for me and such a wonderful blessing it was to join them all in fellowship and the partaking of a meal together at the Family Table. It was a great visit at Frank's house before we went to eat, with wonderful fellowship and some history and pictures shared during and after the meal, and then back to Franks for some wonderful apple pie Vicky made for us. We were all to full for that pie but we thank our host Vicky so much for thinking of us. A little more radio talk and things and Tom and Deb headed back to Marion and I headed back to Willey after a wonderful ARMS Family day. 73 99, Peace be with you.
