A few years ago I decided it would be fun to take a picture of a license plate in every country I visited; unfortunately this idea didn't come to me until I was already well underway in my quest to visit every country in the world. In 2021 I further modified my strategy and decided to incorporate a Hawaiian shaka "hang loose" sign with every plate in an effort to prove these were photographs I was taking myself rather than just lifting them off the internet. Again, far too late in the game to have gotten my hand in every picture, but I have to start somewhere. As I revisit many of my favorite and not-so-favorite places in the world in future years, I hope to eventually get a photo with them all. A few interesting ones from various territories are included as well. The name of each file indicates the country it's from. Click on individual photos for larger size versions.
