My True Stories Written & Remembered by ME!! Sarah Jean Baugh

     One vacation in Canada Dad, Christine, & I all went fishing in a secluded area of the lake. It was very pretty. It started sprinkling, but we weren't to worried about it. It started really raining so we headed for camp. It hailed a little bit & the waves got bigger. We needed to head into the waves to get to camp, but we couldn't because if we did our boat would flip  over! We pulled our boat over to a near by island. I was completely soaked in water by then so dad gave me his life jacket. Now I had a shirt, a sweatshirt, & two life jackets on. If our boat did flip I didn't think I could swim with all that on. Finally the waves became calmer (it was still raining) & we were able to head back to camp. Trying to make them laugh a little I started making my teeth chatter & said "If I make it through this I can make it through anything" Now I regret that because they use it against me a lot!

     Last summer I went to my cousins house in Chicago for 2 weeks. My Aunt Margy  & my cousin Mary came to pick me up from the airport. Since I hadn't had lunch we headed straight to Burger King. Next we stopped at my grandpa's house. Jessie (a nice lady who takes care of my grandpa) offered Mary & me some cookies. We couldn't resist & took some. Aunt Margy gave us money to get ice cream at a local ice cream shop. We walked there got some & walked home. We picked up my other cousin Beth from soccer practice, then went home. We had to hurry to go to a thing Mary had at the planetarium. We stopped at Portillo's for Italian Beefs. We then went to Mary's thing then after that we went to Dairy Queen for some more ice cream. The only reason I told you about this day is because I thought it was funny (looking back) that I ate so much in one day!

       This summer I have been to Chicago for 2 weeks & back already! I had a good time & got to see my family (Poppa, Jessie, Aunt Margy, Uncle Rich, Mary, Beth, Uncle Lloyd, Aunt Nancy, Kevin (Kev), & Kim) I had a good time. I ate lots of good Chicago style foods (Boy, do I miss those everyday!) No one or rather no place has food like Chicago. I'm not to much into Italian, but I love Italian beefs. I really don't care to much for pizza, but who can resist great Chicago pizza! Off the food subject I'm getting hungry. We went to the Brookfield Zoo. I use to live a block away so it brought back memories. We went to the Shedd Aquarium. We went to this place in a mall near my cousins called The Painted Penguin. I painted a fairy that turned out pretty good. The only weird thing is I kept hearing the people who work there talk about my dimples. Talk about weird! All in all I had a good time.
