My immigrant Minger ancestors were Christian and Louisa Minger, who came
to Northeast Kansas about 1856 from Wohlen, Switzerland, near Berne.
They settled and began farming near the present town of Bern, Kansas,
in Nemaha County. My information indicates that they may have had as
many as ten children. My second cousins and I know what happened to
only three of them.
Christian also had a brother named John, who settled in the same
community, known as Four-Mile.
Are we connected? Even if we are not, please drop me a line.
Perhaps I can help you find some of your own Mingers.
