Computer Steganography cipher application

          S-Tools v4.00 1996 Freeware - Not downward compatible

For concealing cipher text within a digital data PICTURE file or in an Audio file 
(some Audio file .WAV files are in a Format that are not understood by S-Tools)

To Install:
1.  Install S-Tools4 Steganography:

2.  Agree to a PASSPHRASE (case-sensitive) and to an Encryption Algorithm 
    (IDEA is a 128 Bit). Send the 29 character PASSPHRASE by U.S. Mail not by 
    Email. Selecting to Compress files adds to security.

Note: PASSPHRASE: with a MD5: scrambles the PASSPHRASE, generating the IDEA 
      cryptography key. For Max security use: a PASSPHRASE of 29 random, 
      nonsense combination of characters. And a picture not previously 
      distributed. (The IDEA Algorithm was an AES cipher candidate).

To Conceal (encrypt) cipher Text in a Picture:
1.  Open S-Tools program
2.  Click File, Click Properties, Select Enable Compression, Click OK
3.  Open Note Pad
4.  Write your message in Note Pad
5.  Save Note Pad data as ie.: HIDDEN.TXT
6.  Save Note Pad  data to Desktop
7.  Close Note Pad
8.  Drag a PICTURE.BMP or .GIF file from Desktop, DROP onto S-Tools
9.  Drag Note Pad's HIDDEN.TXT file, DROP onto PICTURE.BMP or .GIF in S-Tools
10.  In the Security Dialog Box: 
    Type PASSPHRASE & Verify PASSPHRASE; agreed to between Sender & Email 
    Receiver Select algorithm ie.:IDEA
    Click OK - Click OK
11. Right Click on HIDDEN Data PICTURE
12. Save as: ie. Type: PICTURE.BMP or PICTURE.GIF

    Note: You must type the file name with extension .BMP or GIF

13. Email PICTURE (with hidden text message) as an Email Attachment.

To REVEAL (decrypt) Text in a PICTURE:
1.  Open S-Tools
2.  Save Email Attachment (PICTURE) to Desktop
3.  Drag Attachment onto S-Tools
4.  Right Click on PICTURE
5.  Click REVEAL
6.  Type in an agreed to PASSPHRASE & Verify PASSPHRASE & select algorithm
7.  Click OK
8.  Revealed Archive box - Right Click on TXT File
9.  Click on SAVE AS
10. Type .TXT

    Note: You must type .txt file extension to file name

11. Click Save - (Save in Desktop)
12. Click on Saved Desktop TEXT File to read Revealed Message

To Process .WAV files for S-Tools:
1.  Select WINAMP v2.80
2.  Select OPTIONS MENU
3.  Select PLAY
4.  Select File.wav to convert
5.  Click OPEN
    A WIN File formatted as PCM 8000Hz, 8bps is installed on Desktop
