Welcome to the OH2BH 50th Birthday Celebration!
OH2BH Monologue:
Today is a great day. It has been ten years from the time when I discovered this hobby. Contests
were close to my heart from the very beginning - in them I felt amateur radio was at its best.
I remember every one of the days that we spent at our club station OH2AM. That was the best five-year period in my life.
We learned and grew up. All of the victories and records were made unnoticeably. At the same time the operators of OH2AM
grew together for ever. That friendship will last through our lives.
Don Miller was our idol and Jim Neiger (W6BHY) was the figure whom we respected. Perhaps it was that I only carried
inside the wish to grow up to resemble them. When I have now got the CQWW cw & phone records under my name my secret wish has been
fulfilled. I do not boast about it - I want to share my happiness with all of you. The record will not last long, perhaps they have
already now been broken. However, even for a moment it was fun to be a big operator from small Finland.
