My 2m Radio Equipment

My radio for the 144mhz band is a dual band Alinco DR-635 a 2m and 70cms mobile radio with dual watch and cross band capabilities, the radio as the menu system for the repeater ctcss tones and offsets, 3 power output levels and a mirriad of other extras, operation is so simple a 2e0 can do it. My 2m antenna is a 7 element ZL Special also known as the "End Fire" with its double driven crossed 180° out of phased elements and the 2nd driven being the reflector, with a bit of patients you will achieve a 1-1.1 / 1-1.2 vswr mounted at 20ft AGL on a stub mast and rotated by a CDE antenna rotator, to see it looks a lot over the top as the physical size of the rotator is huge compared to the quad, but due to my location the rotator takes a bashing on a daily basis and the powerful clutch and brakes on the CDE hold everything in place.
