APRS African maps
As a service to APRS users around Africa and the rest of the world, this website contains maps of South Africa and other African countries as they are produced.
All the maps are set up for UI-VIEW and normally for 800x600 pixels.
256 colour GIF files are used and are ZIPPED with their INFO file for direct placement in the UI-VIEW MAP folder.
PLEASE NOTE - These maps are fairly accurate but as they are not re-produced from a computer map program. They do have errors. If you produce a new map or correct the .inf files please forward the maps & .inf files to me to put into this website - New maps are being made as you read this - Read PACKET APRS Bulls on the South African Packet network for any changes to this website.
At the end of the MAP section you will find the links to DOWNLOAD UI-VIEW & more MAPs etc for the rest of the World
IMPORTANT INFO:- If you downloaded the Maps For Johannesburg, Pretoria or JHB/Pretoria prior to the 17/12/01 then please e-mail me as the Info files for these maps have been changed to be more accurate. My e-mail address is at the bottom of this page - I will then e-mail you personaly with the new files.
