DIGITAL SOUNDCARD SOFTWARE
*WSJT : A suite of modes for Weak Signal work written by Joe Taylor K1JT. Comprising the Meteorscatter Mode FSK441 and the Tropo/EME mode JT44, this package has revolutionised VHF communications.

*MIXW : An outstanding allmode soundcard package by Nick Fedoseev UT2UZ and his team. The downloadable demo runs for 15 days. Registration is $50. Really worth the money!

*MMTTY/MMSSTV : Brilliant Freeware software for RTTY and SSTV by Makoto Mori JE3HHT. This site includes DSP Filter software and an antenna analyser program.

*DIGIPAN : A freeware PSK31 program by Skip Teller KH6TY and Nick Fedoseev UT2UZ (author of MixW). Digipan works best on a 100 MHz or faster 486 or Pentium processor and requires Windows 95 or greater

*DXsoft HOMEPAGE : The home of several excellent soundcard packages, including CWGet, CWType, TrueTTY, SeaTTY and AAVoice. Software has won several awards, but requires a bit of knowledge to set up correctly. The Help files are crucial. DXsoft is a Russian team headed by Sergei Podstrigailo UA9OSV. All products are shareware.

*WM2U HOME PAGE : Ernie Mills WM2U hosts an outstanding web page which offers links to software for most major soundcard modes, tutorials on several of the main packages, info on interfacing, details on Digital contests and much more. Well worth a visit!


TIME SYNCHRONISATION PROGRAMS

*DIMENSION 4 : An easy to use freeware program for synchronising time via internet atomic time servers. Includes                 PDF setup instructions.

*SOCKET WATCH : Another internet atomic server synchroniser. Similar in operation to Dimension 4.

*RADIO CLOCK : Shareware - enables you to decode the time signals sent by various LF and HF radio stations in the standard frequency and time service.Radio Clock uses your PC to display the time code received from the radio station, using a suitable receiver, and compares it with the local time on your PC. If you have registered Radio Clock you can choose to correct the time on your PC so that it agrees with the time code received by radio.

*NMEATIME : Shareware - enables you to use a GPS to calibrate your PC Clock, and keep it accurate without the expense of an internet connection. Requires a compatible GPS. A must for the portable operators!

 

GENERAL UTILITY PROGRAMS

*WINGRID : A small utility for calculating your gridsquare from latitude and longitude coordinates.

*QUICKMIX : A utility which allows you to save the mixer settings of your soundcard, allowing easy switching from mode to mode without having to recalibrate the soundcard every time. A must for the multimode operators!
