The Radio Today guide to the Xiegu X6100
Copyright DEC 2023 Andrew Barron ZL3DW
The Xiegu X6100 is one of five models currently offered by Xiegu. I chose this model because I liked the look of the display and it seemed to have more features than the others. Having read the ARRL review in QST, I was expecting adequate rather than high performance.

I was impressed with the build quality and especially the display. The radio has some surprising features such as the voice message keyer, CW, PSK, and RTTY decoders. The radio supports filter bandwidth control, RIT (receiver incremental tuning), a noise blanker (NB), noise reduction (NR), and a digital notch filter (DNF). It even includes an antenna tuner and VOX (voice-operated PTT switch) operation. There is  a built-in microphone and PTT (press to talk) button in case you don't want to use the supplied microphone. Commonly used functions like the band and mode are controlled by buttons rather than menu commands.
