The Auckland Regional Co-ordination Committee takes pleasure in announcing the details for their third Regional talk, TALK3. Gary Bold ZL1AN and Jim Meachen ZL2BHF
will be giving a presentation on a topic still to be advised. The topic may not be advised till the evening and I believe that it may not necessarily follow any known presentation format that we may expect. If I can find anything more on the possible subject that this pair may touch on at some time during their evening's presentation, I will add it to this page.
Gary of course can make grass growing sound hilariously interesting while Jim will never be lost for words on what ever he wishes to share with us.
There is off road parking at the site and the evening finished with tea and coffee.
Car- pooling is a great way to ensure an enjoyable evening.
The complete program for the evening for Talk3 will follow soon ....

TALK 1.
The Auckland Regional Co-ordination Committee, on behalf of amateur radio operators in the region and other interested parties, arranged two speakers for the evening May 16, 2002. The venue was the Seminar Room, School of Medicine, Auckland Hospital off Park Road, Grafton. The support speaker for the night was Andrew Barnett ZL2ALW and Andrew gave a light hearted run down on experiences both he and his father had in earlier times with transistors and early IC's.
The main presentation was delivered by Murray Greenman ZL1BPU. Murray, over the past couple of months, has been developing microprocessor projects with amateur radio applications in mind and we saw five examples of these on the night. There are many more that he has in mind to develop, so we look forward to hearing of these in the future.
Presentation's were aided by a video projector for powerpoint presentation. There was also a close-up camera so we will be able to be right there with the speaker when examples are shown.
This first evening was very enjoyable and I'm sure that all who attended would join me in thanking the two presenters for their presentations. A great success as we have heard on local repeaters after the evening.
TALK 2.The second Auckland Regional Co-ordination Committee organised Talk was delivered by Ian Ashley ZL1AOX and covered KIWI SAT.
