Without doubt the all-time favourite is IZ8BLY Hellschreiber. This has just about every mode possible, and a few you've not heard of as well! All that's missing in the latest version is a 2x mode (245 baud Feld-Hell) for high speed typists. IZ8BLY Hellschreiber will operate on any Pentium™-class WINDOWS™ computer with a good sound card. IZ8BLY Hellschreiber is free for Amateur use.Another highly recommended program is MIXW by UT2UZ and UU9JDR. This is a multi-mode program (operates PSK31, RTTY, MFSK16, MT63 etc as well) and although it is not free, it represents very good value because of its many features and performance. There are several reliable sources of PC software for Hellschreiber and related modes. MIXW operates Feld-Hell and both FM-105 and FM-245 modes. The shareware download will operate without restriction, but has a subtle way of reminding you to register it! MIXW will also operate with a USB port interface (the RIG EXPERT.
There are several multi-mode programs offering Hellschreiber modes, but none with the finesse and ease of use of the two programs mentioned.
The recommended software can be found easily by searching the internet. No software is archived here. The best collection of software is provided by Ko Versteeg NL9222. This site is always up-to-date.
