The Caribbean Spiny Lobster (Panulirus argus) look identical to the lobster we have in California, and I'm not sure if they constitute a separate species.  They are just as big here as they are in the California Channel Islands.  I think they know they live in a marine park, where humans aren't allowed to even think about taking them, because they are frequently seen out in the open the way this one was.  However, several times I have seen a big Nassau Grouper swimming around with a satisfied smile on his face and two big antenna sticking out of his mouth like toothpicks.  Thus I know these lobster are called "dinner" by lots more species than just us humans.
