This strange looking fish is called a Trumpetfish (Aulostomus maculatus).  They are normally about 2' long but can grow to 3'.  These things are amusing in the way they try to camouflage themselves.  Below are two perfect examples of this behavior.  In the first photo, this Trumpetfish has aligned itself precisely with a section of rope sponge and is hoping I am so nearsighted that I won't notice the difference.  In the second shot, the Trumpetfish picked a section of soft coral and here is pretending he is just another stalk of coral himself.
