60
ANNIVERSARY OF RADIO CLUB "NIKOLA
TESLA"
In
2007, our club celebrates
anniversary of 60-th year
We are very proud of
this as our club is currently a leading
one in the
country and one of the few who managed to go
through
all the difficult times in the country after break-up
of Yugoslavia. More
information about the celebration of
this important
anniversary can be found on the following

HOW
TO OBTAIN HAM RADIO LICENSE IN MACEDONIA
In line with the new Telecommunication law of
2004, the
Agency for
Electronic Communications "AEC" which is in
charge of radio communications
in Macedonia, adopted a
resolution which
allows all the member countries of CEPT
and radio-amateurs
from USA, Canada and Australia, to
operate on
the hamradio frequencies without special
permission , from the
territory of Macedonia according to
CEPT
regulations. What this means that radio amateurs
form these countries can
operate on ham radio frequenci-
es without prior
application for operating permit, with a
note that in
front of their call sign they need to use the
the prefix Z38 which is
allocated for non residents/guest
operators - Z38/home call.
One exeption is for obtaining
a full call sign
like Z38x, Z38xx or similar for which appli-
cation is required with full
description of planned activiti-
es, participation
in a world wide contest, DX pedition or
similar activities.
This application must be sent to AEC
together with fee
of $ 25 US or 20 euro. More about the
New Telecommunications Law can
be found on the AEC's
web site: www.aec.mk
