About Us

           What can be told about such a perfect team of young (more or less) operators???!!! Well, we're young, full of energy, and very promising bunch of people. The foundations of the Club are, of course, our older members, but, today, the most active operators are the very youngest ones. 

           We had got the first generation of young operators in 1997, the second one in 1998. During the NATO bombing our members have participated in RMZO (National Radio Network). We got several awards for successful work in RMZO. The presentation of all the  results was on the press conference in September 2000.

           The callsign YU1AAX is well known on HF bands. Since 1996. we have worked thousands of QSOs (SSB and CW). We have also worked 20 - 25 thousand QSOs in many contests we have participated. The great number of QSL cards has also been exchanged via the QSL bureau or directly.

           From the beginning (1996.), the Club operates from the same location in Sevojno. We, also, work with same equipment. Our whole inventory is based on two YAESU devices - FT101Z, and FT101ZD. They were bought in 1997. and 1998. and are a bit old (actually older than most of the members), but very functional. Our antenna system consists of  2-element cubical quad @10m for 14/21/28 MHz and dipoles for lower bands.

            The cooperation with SRJ (Yugoslavian Radio Amateur Union) and SRS (Serbian Radio Amateur Union) is excellent. We also have very good relations with radio clubs from Cajetina (YU1ANA), Cacak (YU1DHI), Arilje(YU1AIF) and with Radio Club "Kadinjaca" YU1ACS from Uzice.

           We are mostly working almost without any support (financial or any other), so we have to organize everything by ourselves. But, you can say that we are doing just fine and we hope that we'll continue that way in the future.
