ABOUT ME

My points of interest regarding hamradio
Preffered Bands: QRP-ing on 80m, 40m, 10m, 2m, 70cm,  sometimes operating Mobile / Portable
Operating modes : SSB, FM, SSTV, sometimes RTTY and other "digi" (better said, computer-aided) modes
Home made construction: small and quite easy projects, like power supplies, low to middle range QRO's, station accessories, antennas, filters, measurement instruments, improvements and automation, etc.
Hunting: DX-es, awards, certificates, event or aniversary diplomas, special callsigns.

Traffic results: I consider them quite poor, correspnding to my power, radios and first of all to the time allocated for the hamradio. I hope to do more when I'll go for the "biggest holidays".  For the moment, these are the worked zones (nooo.... not the white ones, HI!.... only the red ones)

Worked Zones

Even though I'm not a "soldering iron - dependent", during the 30 years of radio I have built a lot of electronic stuff and antennas. The real radio builders will smile (I hope condescendently...) at the simplicity of the hereby presented stuff, but I consider these small constructions useful at least for the beginners (as many as they are, if they are any longer...), so I decided to post them on the net.

at_work.gif (1067 byte)Under construction:
-
antenna rotor, low power, analogic control (this mechanical stuff...uffff)
-an antena switch with modified automotive relais
-an "upgraded" HB9CV (7-element, yagi-style) for 2m
If someone could advice on any of these matters, please  contact me!
Maybe someday I'll put on a "project progress" page...
