The Romanian Flag

Europe, azimutal map Here is my location in Europe. Romania is highlighted in yellow and the little red target is the approximate position of my city, Cluj-Napoca, located in the center of  Transylvania.

The map is azimuthal eqidistant relative to my position, KN16TS. It was created using the AZimuthal Project (I hope it still works...) and colored by hand.

YO districts This is the Romanian Hamradio Districts map. Each YO District contains several "judetz" (county, adminstrative region). Some national and international contests organized by the FRR use the abbreviation of the contester's county name as part of the control. The list may be found visiting the official site of the FRR
Relief map This map can give you an idea about how the relief is distributed over the country. Some places in the mountains (avg. height:1100m, max. height 2257m) offer a very good "electrical silence" and have really amazing visibility for the ultrashort bands. The savage landscape of our mountains is also a must-see. If you intend to try some place around... don't forget a good tent and a biiiig, full-charged battery.
