The North Theatre
Well-known cultural institution, "The North
Theatre" is housed in a building erected in 1889 in the neo-classic
style, with a single floor; two or three shows a week used to run
here in the 800 seats hall between the two World Wars. It's roof
is in form of a cupola. The performance hall is destinated to
accomodate 800 audience. This hall is decorated with specific
elements of that time. The arhitects who made the planes of this
building Vojta Adolf and Sziksay Ludovic and the interior
decoration were make by Spanraft and Hisch.
Now the Satu Mare North Theatre has two sections: Romanian and
Hungarian.
