ORARI CALENDAR OF EVENTS



ORARI has established annual calendar of events emphasized in the form of either domestic nor DX Radio Contest. While the domestic contest is meant to encourage ORARI members for better operational practices, however, in some respect become a compulsory measure to upgrade their license depending on the amount of QSLs they have collected. The DX contest calendar is open to all amateurs around the world.

YBxxRIAugustCW/Phone National Domestic & DX contest. Special Callsign in commemoration of the anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia. The xx represent the anniversary of the R.I. (e.g. YB52RI)
MerdekaAugustCW/Phone Domestic & DX contest
PahlawanNovemberCW/Phone Domestic & DX contest in commemoration of the day of the Indonesian Heroes.
KalbarDecemberCW/Phone Domestic & DX contest established by ORARI 7 Call Area
GambirDecemberCW/Phone Domestic & DX contest established by ORARI 0 Call Area

NOTES:

It is worth noted that the date of all contest is subjected to annual planning depending on events considered worthy to establish a contest. In exception of the aforementioned, the following contest calendar is fixed:

-------> 1. July 06-08 : ORARI Anniversary

-------> 2. August 17-18 : Indonesia Independence Day

In any case should the contest calendar clashes with the longer established international contest calendar, necessary readjustment can be easily made accordingly.
