ABOUT THE CLUB
Welcome to the young amateur radio operators website. This website is dedicated to young amateur radio operators. This club is just getting started so we are still working on everything. We made this club to recognize young amateur radio operators and to help teach them about amateur radio. We are going to have weekly nets on the radio and send out a packet of information and a certificate to people who join the club. We are going to have to charge $4 after the first five people join to help pay for special events we are planing and to pay for paper, ink and stuff like that. You will receive a monthly newsletter on amateur radio and the club. Anyone is allowed to join but it is to help recognize young amateur radio operators. We will have fun amateur radio activtes when we have the club organized. The club is located is Seekonk MA. Once we have the club all set up we will have meetings to discuss club ideas. Check back to this website often to see updates.
WHAT WE ARE WORKING ON
What we are working on is setting up a repeater for a net to be held on. The first few nets will probably be held on simplex (146.550) for those amateurs in the RI and MA area. This will give us a chance to get familiar with running the net and help us run it better once we do get on a repeater. Everyone will be allowed to check in even if you are not a member. Our club is also interested in setting up our own repeater. If you have information on used or repeaters thought to be broken please notify us.
