Here is my favorite sand toy, a Meyer's Manx clone fiberglass dunne buggy. I started this project from scrap and after almost a year it finally came back to life, like it was on the late 60's in California, where this buggy came from about 25 years ago.

He aquí a mi juguete de playa favorito, un buggy de fibra de vidrio. Empeze este proyecto solo con la carroceria en muy mal estado y despues de casi 12 meses de arduo trabajo, volvio a la vida, como en los 60's en California de donde llego aquí hace mas de 25 años.

Body: Two piece body, manufacturer unknown with stainless steel side panels

Chassis: VW Type l,  14 and 1/2 inches shortened platform.

Paint System: Dupont acrylic enamel, going from red to yellow with green and purple stripes

Wheels: Front, 15x8 polished Centerline Combo Racing.

              Rear,15x10 polished Centerline Combo Racing.

Tires: Front, Michelin 205-60.

          Rear, Bridgestone Triumph 33x12.50 All Terrains.

Rollbar: Custom made.

Seats: Poly seats

Transaxle: VW Type l beefed up with close ratio 3rd and 4th.

Clutch: Kennedy 1700 lbs.

Power Plant: VW Type l 1835 c.c. With counterweighted crank, 044 ported and polished heads, Cima pistons and barrels, Total Seal rings, WEB cam, full flow oil system with remote oil cooler, K&N breather tower, Bosh 010 chrome distribuitor, sand sealed crank pulley, high lift rockers with high rev springs and Empy valve covers, dual Dellortos 45mm carbs and manis, chromed 36 HP fan shroud, chromed cylinder covers, chromed alternator stand and stainless steel aternator cover and aluminum push-rod protectors.

Exhaust System: Tri-Mil 1 5/8 chrome racing extractor
