DIGITAL TRANSMISSION OF GRAPHIC FILES OVER AMATEUR RADIO FREQUENCIES

SUBJECT FOR THIS ESSAY IS A DRM (DIGITAL RADIO MONDIALE) PROGRM CALLED EASYPAL.  EASYPAL IS A PROGRAM FOR RECEIVING AND TRANSMITTING DIGITAL FILES, SUCH AS GRAPHIC FILES OR TEXT FILES, OVER THE AMATEUR RADIO FREQUENCIES.  BOTH TRANSMITTING AND RECEIVING STATIONS HAVE TO BE RUNNING THE SOFTWARE ON THEIR RESPECTIVE COMPUTERS.  EACH STATION CONNECTS THEIR TRANSCEIVERS VIA THE SOUND CARD TO THEIR RESPECTIVE COMPUTERS.  A SIMPLE INTERFACE IS ALL IT TAKES TO ACCOMPLISH THIS CONNECTION.  THEY ARE AVAILABLE FROM, AMONG MANY OTHERS, BUXCOMM.COM   http://www.packetradio.com/catalog/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=2&zenid=g03537h8ufl1jlb0qi3tgphu85 .

THE DEVICE ISOLATES THE TRANSCEIVER FROM THE COMPUTER VIA ELECTRONICS WHILE ALLOWING THE AUDIO (BOTH TRANSMIT AND RECEIVE) TO PASS THRU.  THE DEVICE ALSO ALLOWS THE COMPUTER AND SOFTWARE TO KEY THE TRANSMITTER SO AS TO SEND GRAPHIC FILES.

JUST TO TRY THE PROGRAM WITHOUT SPENDING ANY MONEY, SIMPLY DOWNLOAD THE EASYPAL PROGRAM (BY THE WAY ITíS FREE).  AFTER SETING UP THE PROGRAM, CONNECT A MICROPHONE TO YOUR COMPUTER AND PLACE IT IN FRONT OF YOUR TRANSCEIVER SPEAKER.  THEN TUNE YOUR TRANSCEIVER (OR RECEIVER FOR THAT MATTER)  TO ONE OF THE PRESCRIBED DIGITAL FREQUENCIES ON THE BAND THAT HAPPENS TO BE WORKING BEST AT THE TIME OF DAY YOU ARE WORKING THE PROGRAM. THIS SIMPLE SETUP WILL ALLOW YOU TO RECEIVE ONLY.  TO SEND YOU SHOULD USE AN INTERFACE AS DESCRIBED ABOVE.

AN EXTENSIVE LIST IS INCLUDED BELOW, BUT FOR DAYTIME TRY 7.173 MHZ OR 14.233 MHZ AND AT NIGHT 3.713 MHZ (THIS FREQUENCY IS A LITTLE RESQUE AT TIMES) OR 1.950 MHZ.

DOWNLOAD THE EASYPAL PROGRAM AT http://www.kc1cs.com/ .  ITíS PRETTY EASY TO SETUP.

SINCE THE PHOTO FILES ARE DIGITAL WHEN YOU RECEIVE THEM THROUGH THE AIR VIA YOUR TRANSCEIVER AND THE ACCOMPANYING EASYPAL SOFTWARE, THE QUALITY IS FANTASTIC.  IF YOU FAIL TO RECEIVE THE PHOTO FILE, THE PROGRAM HAS THE ABILITY TO ASK FOR A REPAIR AND CAN SEND A REQUEST FOR ONLY THE MISSING SEGMENTS OF THE PHOTO FILE TO THE TRANSMITTING STATION OR TO ANY OTHER STATION THAT RECEIVED THE COMPLETE PHOTO FILE.  THEN THE ORIGINAL OR OTHER STATION CAN TRANSMIT ONLY THE PORTIONS NEEDED TO FILL YOUR REQUEST FOR MISSING SEGMENTS.  ITíS PRETTY SLICK.  THE GRAPHICS ARE HD QUALITY.

SAMPLES OF THE GRAPHIC FILES CAN BE SEEN AT:   http://www.qsl.net/wy3w/3938/easypal.html .

IN ADDITION TO GRAPHICS, THE PROGRAM CAN SEND A TEXT MESSAGE (LIKE AN EMAIL MESSAGE) OUT AND THE RECEIVING STATION GETS IT INSTANTLY. (NO DELAY AS IN EMAILS)
