The West Tennessee
Amateur Radio Society in Jackson, Tennessee is dedicated to advancement and
growth of the Amateur Radio service, and usually meets every first Thursday of each month except for July 2012 (meeting will be on
the second Thursday at 6 PM in Catfish Cabin Restaurant). The
meetings usually start around 7 PM in
the EOC (Emergency Operations Center) office inside the FAA building at the
McKellar-Sipes Airport, 308 Grady Montgomery Drive in Jackson, Tennessee. Occasionally,
some meetings are scheduled for different days or locations, such as in local
area restaurants. All meetings are open to the public, and visitors are

The Crockett County Amateur Radio Society, along with other
groups, operates radio repeaters in the area. The WT4WA repeater is on 146.970
MHz, - Offset, tone 107.2 Hz. The primary simplex
frequency is 146.535 MHz. They usually have on-the-air nets every Thursday
nights at 7 PM on the K4DYR repeater (see next
paragraph below). They usually meet at 7 PM on the second Thursday night of each month, usually in the Crockett
County EMA building, 168 N. Bells St. in Alamo, Tennessee. They plan to offer
the ARRL Amateur Radio License exams
approximately every three or four months (14 July 2012, 13 October 2012, and 12 January 2013) at the Crockett County
EMA Office, 168 North Bells Ave., Alamo, TN 38001.

The Dyer County Amateur Radio Association, along with other groups,
operates radio repeaters in the area. The K4DYR repeater at Spring Hill,
Tennessee is on 145.190 MHz, - Offset, tone 100.0 Hz. They
meet on the first Saturday of
each month at 10 AM in the Dyer County Rescue Squad building in Newbern,
Tennessee. (Directions: turn on Sharpsferry Rd.
beside the Dollar Store on Hwy. 77 West in Newbern. Travel approximately 300
ft., then turn left at the sign by the Dyer County Rescue, Phillip Pinion

The Haywood County Amateur Radio Group operates radio repeaters in
the Brownsville, Tennessee area. The VHF
repeater is on 146.655 MHz, - Offset, tone 156.7 Hz. The UHF repeater is on

The Lauderdale County Amateur Radio Club usually meets on the second Tuesday of each month at
7 PM in the Baptist Memorial Hospital Lauderdale, 326 Asbury Ave., Ripley,

The Tipton Amateur Radio Society was formed in January of 1990 in
Herb Harrington’s garage ham shack. Located in Covington, Tennessee, they
participate in A.R.E.S. (Amateur Radio Emergency Service), R.A.C.E.S. (Radio
Amateur Civil Emergency Service) and M.A.R.S. (Military Affiliate Radio
Service). They also offer VE amateur radio license testing on the first
Saturday of every quarter at the Atoka City Hall (for other VE testing
locations see http://www.members.tripod.com/tarswebsite/tarswebsite/WCARS_Sched.html). Meetings are usually held on the third Monday of each month at the Atoka City Hall, 400 Atoka
Munford Road, Atoka, Tennessee, at 7 PM. Their A.R.E.S. Net is held every
Thursday evening at 7 PM on the KE4ZBI VHF repeater (145.490 MHz, - Offset).

The Decatur County Amateur Radio
Club meets at 7 PM on the second
Monday of each month at the Decatur County EOC building, 66 West Second

The Amateur Radio Club Hohenwald meets
at 3 PM on the last Sunday of
every other month at the Tennessee Technology Center building in Hohenwald,
Tennessee. The club has bi-monthly meetings, participates in Field Day, School
Club Roundup, Skywarn Training, and regular VE
amateur radio license testing. The weekly Skywarn
Training Net is on the 146.895 MHz repeater (- Offset, tone 100 Hz) on Thursday
nights at 8 PM. The club also uses the Lewis County Starnet
Repeater on 444.850 MHz (+ Offset, tone 100 Hz) for some activities. For more

The Delta Amateur Radio Club meets on the second Tuesday of each month around 7 PM at the Ellendale Church
of Christ, located at 7365 Highway 70 (known as "Summer Avenue" in Memphis).
The DARC offers the ARRL Amateur Radio License
exams (no reservations needed) before each club meeting at the Ellendale
Church of Christ, with registration beginning at 5:30 PM and testing beginning promptly
at 6:00 PM. You MUST bring some type of identification to the testing session.
You also MUST bring originals, as well as a copy, of any license and/or CSCE
that you may hold currently. The testing fees are $15.00. Scheduled VE testing dates in 2012 are 14 August, 11 September, 9
October, and 13 November (no testing in December). For more information

The Mid-South Amateur Radio Association meets on the first Thursday of each month
around 7 PM at the Northeast Police Precinct (Appling Farms Station) located at

The Tri-State Repeater Association (originally called the
Mid-South VHF Association in the Memphis area during the 1970’s) operates several
repeaters on 6 meters, 2 meters, 1.25 meters, and 70 centimeters covering parts
of West Tennessee, North Mississippi, and Eastern Arkansas. They have regular
meetings at the Baptist Memorial Hospital on 1500 West Poplar in Collierville,

The Alcorn County Radio Emergency Services meets on the first Saturday of each month at
9 AM in the Corinth/Alcorn County Airport Terminal Building in Corinth,
Mississippi. The amateur radio club has Skywarn

The Chickasaw Amateur Radio Association meets on the third Monday of each month at 7
PM in the Desoto County Emergency

The Northeast Mississippi Radio Amateurs meet on the second Tuesday of each month in

and 7 PM for the actual meeting). They offer various activities for DX,

The Northwest Mississippi Amateur Radio Emergency Service serves
Coahoma, Desoto, Lafayette, Marshall, Panola, Quitman, Tate, and Tunica
