UKCARC MEETING 10 September, 2006

 

MEETING CALLED TO ORDER AT 8:07 A.M. BY President Craig Johnson

 

REPORTS OF OFFICERS:  Treasurer $1239.65

 

Members present: KC7ZUM Ray, KB7XQ Bill, KI7AO Bill, N7XCJ Mary Jo, WA7HNH Jack,     N7AAW Boyd, WA7GYD Gloria, W7USR Tom, KD7MDX John, WB7TMV Charlie, W7TXU Jim, K7RZS Phil, KC7BUC Elmer, Margaret, K7KFM Dick, KD7DGB Jul, Barbara, N7XEQ Craig,    KC7ZQD Beth, KC7NTP Hazel, KE7APW Steve, Barbara, KE7GPG Iris, KC7BDC Bob, and         KK7VL Jim.

 

COMMUNICATIONS: There will be an ARES drill on September 30th. KI7AO will get out the information.

The Law & Justice grant has been approved and KI7AO will be getting together with the committee and ordering equipment.

There was no official ARES callout for the fire at Salmon La Sac area.

 

COMMITTEES: The Cascade Crest 100 went very well considering the midnight emergency. The net control reported too much traffic on the net.

The 50K South Cle Elum ridge race is ready to go. Elmer got all the help he needs. He says pretty good shape for the shape its in.

 

OLD BUSINESS: KC7BDC reported that there will be some rebuilding at the Sky Meadows building and there is a new building at Stampede before the snow flies.

 

NEW BUSINESS: KI7AO made a motion and WA7GYD seconded to give the 50K race money to KCRA to help pay for the new interference filter.

The annual dinner will be on September 30th at 6:30PM. The location will be at Buzz Inn in Ellensburg. It will be full service so we will order at the table.

The annual nominations for office will be at the October meeting and the vote at the November meeting.

 

MISCELLANEOUS BUSINESS: The motion for Club Banners was again brought up  There was a motion to kill the discussion and KB7XQ seconded. The discussion is killed.

 

The meeting was adjourned at 0901 hours.
