UKCARC MEETING 7 September, 2003

MEETING CALLED TO ORDER AT 8:29 A.M. BY President Beth Rogers

1. REPORTS OF OFFICERS: Treasurer $751.66 Members present:

KD7MDX John, KD7OZN Mike, KC7BUC Elmer, Margaret, AA7PR Dick, KB7LHE Dian, WB7TMV Charlie, KB7XQ Bill, WA7HNH Jack, W7TXU Jim, KC7ZUM Ray, Mildred, KI7AO Bill, N7XCJ Mary Jo, N7XEQ Craig, KC7ZQD Beth, Gino, Ann, and Jeff.

2. COMMUNICATIONS:

3. COMMITTEES: The 100 mile Cascade Crest race went great. The APRS had a little problem but next year that will be corrected. There were 31 hams involved in the race.

The annual county ham dinner is set for the 27^th of September. Please let Jack know for a head count by Monday the 22^nd.

4. OLD BUSINESS: The KCRA reports that 147.36 is still in limbo. Hopefully there will be a work party before the snow comes.

5. NEW BUSINESS: The 50K ridge run will be on September 20^th. Most will be heading for their post at 0600 that morning. Frank is running the trail today to check it out.

Tomorrow we are going to move 147.16 to it’s new location at KC7ZUM’s QTH. The autopatch will again be available. Hopefully by the end of next week Echolink will also be back on line.

KI7AO, Bill, gave a talk at the SAR meeting about the use of ham radio. 18 hams were present that night.

6. MISCELLANEOUS BUSINESS: AA7PR, Dick, and KB7LHE, Dian, have invited everybody up to their cabin for a lunch next Sunday.

KD7OZN, Mike, will be leaving for Florida next week with APRS on all the way. Keep an eye open for him.
