MEETING CALLED TO ORDER AT 8:07 A.M. BY President Craig Johnson REPORTS OF OFFICERS: Treasurer $1258.65 Members present: W7TXU Jim, N7XCJ Mary Jo, KI7AO Bill, KB7XQ Bill, KC7ZQD Beth, KD7MDX John, KC7ZUM Ray, WB7TMV Charlie, KC7NTP Hazel, K7RZS Phil, N7AAW Boyd, WA7GYD Gloria, WA7HNH Jack, KK7VL Jim, and AC7HB John. COMMUNICATIONS: An updated report on the Yakima River Canyon Repeater was circulated for members to read. Elmer, KC7BUC, gave a check for $420.00 to KCRA to help pay for the isolator they had to purchase to replace the defective one on 147.36 at Sky Meadows. Bill, KI7AO, stated that Kittcom has offered a spot at the new Stampede site. Bill will talk to Bob Johnson. COMMITTEES: The state EOC to EOC exercise was yesterday. The Cle Elum Fire Station participated. They were able to get in to Camp Murray but conditions were bad so they did not nake it on VHF. Bill, KI7AO, has gotten the approval to spend the Law & Justice grant. He will shop for the best deal and get the equipment ordered. Fred, W7FEH, will be back in a week or two and the Thorpe Fire Station can get started. OLD BUSINESS: The annual county club dinner last night was good for the most part. We will try to find someplace else to try next year. Larry, N7KGS, was honored for his many years of service to the amateur community. NEW BUSINESS: Nominations were opened for next year officers. Bill Lowery, KB7XQ, was nominated for Vice President and Jack, WA7HNH, for Secretary/Treasurer. There was a motion to close nominals and it was seconded. Because there was only one nominate for each office they will be the new officers. K7KFM will step up from Vice President to President next January. MISCELLANEOUS BUSINESS: The SEC meeting will be at Liberty Lake on October 14th. The Public Health Dept has requested amateur help on October 24th at the Ellensburg High School. Jack will be going up to install the new isolator today at Sky Meadows. The meeting was adjourned at 0854 hours.
