UKCARC MEETING 3 October, 2004

 

MEETING CALLED TO ORDER AT 8:18 A.M. BY President John Stefani

 

REPORTS OF OFFICERS:  Treasurer $734.12

 

Members present: KK7VL Jim, W7TXU Jim, KC7ZQD Beth, N7XEQ Craig, KD7OZN Mike, KB7XQ Bill, KC7BUC Elmer, Margaret, N7JJJ Jeannie, Duane, KD7MDX John, KC7ZUM Ray, WA7HNH Jack.

 

 

COMMUNICATIONS: During the meeting Bill, KI7AO, called to say hello and let us know that all is going well now but he is staying low for a few days. He wanted a hello relayed to all.

 

 

COMMITTEES: Elmer gave a report on the 50K (Elmer’s Race). He said there were 18 people working the race and 18 different opinions on how it went. The weather was cold and wet. There were a little over 100 that finished. This was Frank’s last year and Elmer said it was his last year organizing the communications also. The group received $400.00 and it was given to the KCRA.

It was requested that we have a dinner on the 30th of October at the Homestead. Jack will confirm the date with Wendy. It was decided to start at 6PM.

 

 

OLD BUSINESS: The ARES applications are still on the Sheriff’s desk.

 

 

NEW BUSINESS: Bill Carter, NC7C, was mentioned in the paper for his part organizing communications for the river cleanup.

Mike, KD7OZN, is working on have SAR groups at different check points on the 100 mile race to get help sooner to injured or medical needs next year.

 

 

MISCELLANEOUS BUSINESS:  NONE

 

 

The meeting was adjourned at 0845 hours.
