UPPER KITTITAS COUNTY AMATEUR RADIO CLUBWR7UKC REPEATER UKCARC MEETING 3 May, 2009 MEETING CALLED TO ORDER AT 8:20 A.M. BY President Hazel Moore REPORTS OF OFFICERS: Treasurer $607.14 Members present: KB7XQ Bill, W7HNH Jack, KE7GPG Iris, W7TXU Jim, AA7PR Dick, KB7LHE Dian, N7XEQ Craig, KC7ZQD Beth, Mike Meir (Guest from Calif), KE7APW Steve, KC7ZUM Ray, K7RZS Phil, W7FEH Fred, KC7NTP Hazel, WA7GYD Gloria, and WB7TMV Charlie.
COMMUNICATIONS: Bill, KI7AO, called Larry, N7KGS, to see how he was doing. Larry is doing good but Jane had a heart attack a couple weeks ago. She is doing better now and is coming home.
COMMITTEES: Phil gave a VE report. They passed 1 new general and 1 new technician. John was not here so no Rails to Ales report.
OLD BUSINESS: Steve gave a report on the Runner Stumbles Race. It appears at this point that we may not be needed as last year Suncadia had their security people at all the check points.
NEW BUSINESS: Dick and Dian announced the annual get together at there cabin will be Friday June 19th. There was discussion on the two clubs sharing the cost of the meats for the meal. Iris made a motion that our club pay half the meat cost. Beth seconded the motion and it was approved. The May 21st Hospital drill has been cancelled as our hospital doesn’t plan to participate. The MCI Drill scheduled for June 5, 6, and 7 is still on track. More information as it becomes available. Jack will ask Mike, N7NEW, if his portable repeater could be used on the 50K race.
MISCELLANEOUS BUSINESS: Upcoming events are 8/9 Whiskey Dick Triathalon, 8/29-30 the 100 mile Cascade Crest Run. 9/12 the 50K South Cle Elum Ridge run.
The meeting was adjourned at 0916 hours.
