MEETING CALLED TO ORDER AT 8:05 A.M. BY President Bill Lowery

Members present: KI7AO Bill, N7XCJ Mary Jo, W7USR Tom, KE7APW Steve, Barb, KB7XQ Bill, WA7HNH Jack, W7TXU Jim, KC7ZUM Ray, WB7TMV Charlie, K7RZS Phil, N7XEQ Craig, KC7ZQD Beth, W7FEH Fred, and KE7GPG Iris.
COMMUNICATIONS: Jack got a message from the Rails to Ales people advising about the up coming event at the Milwaukee Depot.
COMMITTEES: John, KD7MDX, and Beth, KC7ZQD, have been working on the special event station. Beth talked to Maurya at Easton and it looks good the be able to set up a station at the Depot.
OLD BUSINESS:
NEW BUSINESS: KI7AO gave a report on the ARES get together in the Tri-cities. There we about 30 people in attendance. The discussions included NCS training, which form to use,ARRL or ICS, Yakima county is designing their own form. K7FDL expressed a need for a better Winlink structure. Whether to have frequencies or channel numbers show on radios. WZ7T held a region 7 meeting after the regular meeting. They talked about regional drills. There is a problem with declining/aging people. We need how to get more members.
MISCELLANEOUS BUSINESS: KI7AO is looking for help on the 100 mi race. The suggestion was made to try the local scout groups as they may enjoy the experience and will earn a merit badge for their efforts. There will be a Skywarn meeting in Ellensburg next Tuesday evening at 1900 hours. There will be a VE session on 21 June and they need VE help. Contact K7RZS or WA7GYD. W7USR and WA7HNH will set up a digital meeting to familiarize people with the digital systems in the future. No word on the ARES equipment request yet.
