COMMUNICATIONS: The flyer for the Mike & Key Hamfest on March 7th was shown. Also the Yakima Hamfest will be on April 11th.

COMMITTEES: The Hospital Drill on the 19th went well although there were some challenges on the frequencies used. This was a local region 7 event. Locally it was thought that a linked repeater system was not a good idea as other Hams were unaware and caused confusion at times.

The comment was made that Gloria does a very nice job will the Ellensburg Newsletter. (ed. Note, I agree. Thanks Gloria)

OLD BUSINESS: Tim gave a report on the Fire District 6 EOC setup. He is going to Sultan today to pick up his TS-2000 from the repair shop. Then the station will have a HF, VHF, UHF, and digital station on the air.

NEW BUSINESS: Bob, KC7EZC, will do a 3 hour intro to Amateur Radio at the Thorp Fire Station on April 1st from 6 to 9 PM. There will be handouts for the class forthcoming. The hope is that participants will self study and take the test on April 18th.

At the Boy Scout Leaders conference this week they are looking for mentors to help scouts get there radio merit badge. If interested contact Gloria.

Gloria has made up some nice ARES Badges. They are free and if you would like a nice ARRL lanyard they are $3.00.

MISCELLANEOUS BUSINESS: Upcoming events: April 4th, the Yakima Canyon Run, August 9th, Whiskey Dick Triathlon, August 29 and 30, Cascade Crest 100.

Our friend Larry, N7KGS, came back home Friday but no visitors yet. Jane will advise when He can see company.

A Veterans service for Don Bobo will be on March 28th at the Swauk Grange and a service to follow at the Cle Elum Community Church.

The meeting was adjourned at 0850 hours.
