COMMUNICATIONS: It was very nice to have Elmer and Margaret join the group this morning.

Bill and Fred gave a short report on Larry, N7KGS. He is doing okay at the moment, also Jane is recovering nicely from her health problem.

COMMITTEES: Steve reported that the Runner Stumbles race will be the same course as last year. He emailed the committee and advised unless changes have changed there is no need for our group to participate this year. There will be another meeting on 24 June.

The Rails to Ales event will be on 11 July. John has decided to operate the radio station from Jack’s carport across the street. This event will also celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Milwaukee Railroad. The radio station will operate from 8AM to whenever. The callsign will be WR7KCR.

Don’t forget Dick and Dian’s annual potluck at their cabin up the north fork of the Teanaway. This will take place on 19 June at 4 PM. Bring deserts and side dishes. Dick and Dian will have the meat cooked for the event.

Phil advised that the next VE testing will be at the Ellensburg High School on June 20th.

Bill, KI7AO, said that the 100 mile Cascade Crest run  has 150 runners signed up. They will let the first 125 people run the race. The course will be the same as last year and the cutoff points also will be the same. Hazel has graciously offered her motorhome for use at the Easton net control point to be used at the west end of the fire station. The KCRA gets $500 for helping with this event.

OLD BUSINESS: NONE

NEW BUSINESS: The mass casualty incident exercise went well yesterday. For a change we had traffic to pass and most all was digital message traffic. The three digital stations that were set up learned from this exercise and will make corrections to improve this mode. Although the mode was successful.

MISCELLANEOUS BUSINESS: The July meeting will be on July 5th and will be at 8:00 instead of 7:00 as put out earlier. This change is due to the fact it looks like we will not participate in the Runner Stumbles race.

The meeting was adjourned at 0918 hours.

NEXT REGULAR CLUB MEETING TO BE HELD 5 July, 2009
