1. REPORTS OF OFFICERS:  Treasurer $839.90.                 Members present:

KC7NIO Jerry, N7XQL Ralph, Bev, KC7ZUM Ray, KB7XQ Bill, N7JJJ Jeannie, Duane, KC7ZQH Don, Jane, KD7DGB Jul, Barbara, AA7PR Dick, KB7LHE Dian, KC7BUC Elmer, Margaret, W7TXU Jim, N7XEQ Craig, KK7VL Jim, WA7HNH Jack, KB7ZYL Jerry, KD7OZN Mike.

2. COMMUNICATIONS: The preamp is installed on the repeater and appears to have made quite a difference on received signals.  The APRS node is working fine.

3. COMMITTEES: Again it looks like the joint club field day effort is not going to happen due to lack of interest by members of both clubs.

The Runner Stumbles Race is still scheduled for 7 July. Contact Bill, KI7AO, to help out on this race. Also a result of the race, as usual our meeting will start at 0700 that Sunday.

The Whiskey Dick Triathlon will be held on 21 July. Larry, N7KGS, is the one to contact to help on that one.

The 100 mile run will  be 24 and 25 August. Bill, KI7AO, needs more volunteers to help on that one.

The Elensburg Rodeo Labor Day Parade will be Saturday 31 August. Jim, W7TXU, will be the contact point to help with that one.

Also the South Cle Elum Ridge 50K run, better know to us as Elmer’s race will be 21 September.

4. OLD BUSINESS: Several members from both the Upper and Lower county went to Seaside, Oregon last weekend to the SeaPac convention. It was a great program with many interesting seminars to attend. Also several members of the Kittitas county group met for dinner on Saturday evening and had a great time.

5. NEW BUSINESS: Kittitas County Search and Rescue is going to hold a training exercise near the end of the month. During the exercise they are going to do some trial use of APRS to see how it will work for them. Mike, KD7OZN, and Bill, KI7AO, are working out the details for the practice using APRS.

Dick and Dian announced there will be a summer barbeque at there place in the Teanaway on June 20th with a 163start time. (I am not positive on the date as that is a Thursday. Be sure to check around before going up there. Sorry.)

6. MISCELLANEOUS BUSINESS: N7XEQ still has 12 volt rechargeable batteries available if anyone is interested.

The stolen items from the Search and Rescue warehouse have been recovered and the individuals have been arrested.

Congratulations to Elmer, KC7BUC, as he passed his Extra Class license test yesterday at Dryden.

7. The meeting was adjourned at 0838 hours.

NEXT REGULAR CLUB MEETING TO BE HELD 7 July, 2002.
