MEETING CALLED TO ORDER AT 7:354A.M. BY President John Stefani
REPORTS OF OFFICERS: Treasurer $898.07 Members present: KC7BUC Elmer, W7TXU Jim, N7XCJ Mary Jo, KB7ZYJ Charles, KI7AO Bill, KD7MDX John, KC7KEM Mike, WB7TMV Charlie, KD7GXL Craig, KD7GXM Susan, AA7PR Dick, KB7LHE Dian, KD7DGB Jul, Barbara, KC7ZUM Ray, KB7XQ Bill, and WA7HNH Jack. COMMUNICATIONS: NONE COMMITTEES: The Runner Stumbles Race starts at 0900 this morning. At 0845 there will be a commo check. The frequency used will be 147.16 repeater. Whiskey Dick is coming up on July 25th. Contact point is N7KGS, Larry. The 100 mile race will be August 28th and 29th. Start time is 1000 hours on the 28th. Breakfast is after 0700 at the Easton Fire Station. Elmer’s race is September 18th. Jim, W7TXU, has heard nothing on the Labor Day Parade so at this point we are not involved. OLD BUSINESS: NONE NEW BUSINESS: Jim, W7TXU, made a motion that the Club pay half the cost of a new set of tapes from the ARRL for the Novice Class license. Elmer, KC7BUC, seconded the motion. It was voted on and passed. The Rodeo City Radio Club will let us know our share of the cost. There also was a discussion on the Club purchasing the MFJ antenna analyzer that Elmer bought for Craig at Seaside and then having it available for Club members use. The idea was tabled ubtil Craig and Beth get back as Craig had asked Elmer to get it and he may want to use it full time on his rig. Echolink is getting closer as there is one more piece to aquire and it should be back on, hopefully. MISCELLANEOUS BUSINESS: The Sky Meadows system is working better thanks to Harold’s, WA7UHW, efforts. Another trip is coming up to replace the transmitter ICOM to improve modulation. The county amateur emergency services will form an ARES/RACES group. The meeting was adjourned at 0800 hours
