UKCARC MEETING 6 July, 2003
MEETING CALLED TO ORDER AT 7:24 A.M. BY Secretary/Treasurer Jack Williams
1. REPORTS OF OFFICERS: Treasurer $865.70 Members present:
KK7VL Jim, KD7OZN Mike, AA7PR Dick, KB7LHE Dian, KD7DGB Jul, KI7AO Bill, W7TXU Jim, KB7ZYJ Charles, KD7GXL Craig, KD7GXM Susan, KB7XQ Bill, KC7BUC Elmer, KC7ZUM Ray, WA7HNH Jack, KD7MDX John.
2. COMMUNICATIONS: Al Montgomery talked to Bill, KB7XQ, and others about a ham class for a group of young people this fall. Elmer, KC7BUC, sent an email to Frank asking about the 50K run and got an answer from Frank, who was riding bicycles in Wisconsin, saying he wanted ham communication again this year.
3. COMMITTEES: It was discussed as to whether or not to buy the new videos for training. No decision was made at this time. Jack is going to check into classroom space for a class this fall. They had a nice field day at Ellensburg. Many thanks go to Boyd and Gloria for their efforts.
4. OLD BUSINESS:
5. NEW BUSINESS: A motion was made and seconded to make a $50.00 donation to the Ellensburg Hospice in the club name for rememberance of Emmitte Woods, KA7NEH, who became a silent key. Emmitte was one of the first hams in the club back in the late 70’s. It was suggested that the Hyak site would be a good place to give a demonstration of ham radio.
6. MISCELLANEOUS BUSINESS: Larry, N7KGS, will be home from the hospital tomorrow. Everything is looking good. That is great larry. The Runner Stumbles race is today right after the meeting.
7. The meeting was adjourned at 0805 Hours.
