UKCARC MEETING 9 January, 2005
MEETING CALLED TO ORDER AT 8:21 A.M. BY President Ray Killian REPORTS OF OFFICERS: Treasurer $916.33 1. Members present: W7TXU Jim, KD7MDX John, KB7XQ Bill, KC7ZUM Ray, WA7HNH Jack, KC7NTP Hazel, KD7OZN Mike, N7XEQ Craig, and KC7ZQD Beth. 2. COMMUNICATIONS: The RACES cards are close to being ready to issue. The laminator is broken but soon to be repaired. 3. COMMITTEES: The winter sports event is still on schedule for the 15th of January although there seems to be an insurance problem to be handled. 4. OLD BUSINESS: Jack asked about the status of the ARRL Courses that KD7REM is taking as there is a financial investment involved. Jim is going to check with Boud and Gloria and get back to the Club. 5. NEW BUSINESS: Bill, KB7XQ, suggested that the Club become reaffiliated with the ARRL. Jack will look into getting this accomplished.
6. MISCELLANEOUS BUSINESS: Jim, W7TXU, stated that 146.52 is the national simplex frequency, not a calling frequency. Bill, KB7XQ, has successfully signed up for Level I of the ARRL course.
7. The meeting was adjourned at 0845 hours.
