UKCARC MEETING 1 February, 2004
MEETING CALLED TO ORDER AT 8:16 A.M. BY President John Stefani
REPORTS OF OFFICERS: Treasurer $974.91
1. Members present: W7TXU Jim, KC7ZQD Beth, N7XEQ Craig, KB7XQ Bill, KD7OZN Mike, KD7MDX John, KC7ZUM Ray, KC7KEM Mike, and WA7HNH Jack
2. COMMUNICATIONS: NONE
3. COMMITTEES: The KCRA crew went up to Sky Meadows and installed a temporary repeater. Harold has the bad setup and is working on it as time permits. The Thursday night communication test on 147.54 worked out well.
4. OLD BUSINESS: A follow-up on the Ellensburg skier that was lost came out much better than expected. Thanks to the great efforts from our Search and Rescue crew .
5. NEW BUSINESS: KCSAR got a plack for having good equipment. There needs to be a method to get communications between the Hams and SAR. Kittitas County is developing a recreation plan. Is there any way that Ham Radio can be included.
6. MISCELLANEOUS BUSINESS: KC7BUC, Elmer, called on Echolink through the repeaterat 0825. KC7ZUM, Ray, brought an editorial that K7VL, Jim, had written to the Record. Bill and Jack are going to check on the Lookout mountain site when weather permits.
