UKCARC MEETING 5 December, 2004

 

MEETING CALLED TO ORDER AT 8:25 A.M. BY President John Stefani

 

                REPORTS OF OFFICERS:  Treasurer $781.56

 

1.        Members present: N7GWB Dave, N7FQR Bud, WB7TMV Charlie, KD7MDX John,          KB7XQ Bill, K7RZS Phil, KI7AO Bill, N7XCJ Mary Jo, N7XEQ Craig, KC7ZQD Beth, N7AAW Boyd, WA7GYD Gloria, KD7DGB Jul, Barbara, AA7PR Dick, KB7LHE Dian, W7TXU Jim, KC7ZYJ Charles, KC7NTP Hazel, KC7ZUM Ray, WA7HNH Jack, and    KD7ZVK Jack.

 

 

2.        COMMUNICATIONS: The Club gave Cheryl a single rose in a budvase for her birthday.

Boyd, N7AAW, gave an update on the RACES/ARES cards that he has been working with the Sheriffs department to get them issued to the members.

There was a report from Bill, KI7AO, and Jack, WA7HNH, on the status of the county EOC’s at Ellensburg, Cle Elum, and Easton.

 

3.        COMMITTEES: Bill, KI7AO, met with Sgt Slyfield to discuss call out procedures.

All the fine visitors were introduced,

 

4.        OLD BUSINESS: Bill, KI7AO, and Jim, W7TXU, are looking for more volunteers for the winter sports rodeo on January 15th. Mike Fudge, KD7GXJ, is overseeing the exercise.

 

5.        NEW BUSINESS: The ARRL has announced openings for the next Emergencies Communication Course starting December 6th thru the 12th or until the class is full. The cost for ARRL members is $45.00 that is refundable upon completion of the class.

VE Session will be held at the Vantage fire station on December 18th. Contact N7AAW or K7RZS if you are interested in taking the Extra Class exam.

 

6.        MISCELLANEOUS BUSINESS: The ARRL is again giving a rebate to affiliated clubs that have members renew through the club.
