MEETING CALLED TO ORDER AT 8:02 A.M. BY President Hazel Moore REPORTS OF OFFICERS: Treasurer $585.79 Members present: W7TXU Jim, KI7AO Bill, N7XCJ Mary Jo, WA7GYD Gloria, KC7ZUM Ray, KB7XQ Bill, KE7GPG Iris, W7HNH Jack, KC7NTP Hazel, KC7BUC Elmer, Margaret, W7USR Tom, WB7TMV Charlie, KD7MDH John, KD7DGB Jul, AA7PR Dick, KB7LHE Dian, KE7WRY Tim, W7FEH Fred, and K7RZS Phil. COMMUNICATIONS: We received a flyer for the Radio Club of Tacoma Hamfest which will be Saturday August 8th at Bethel Jr High School in Spanaway. Also from the Tacoma Radio Club we received a letter offering an almost complete library of QST’s if any Club is interested. Gloria stated she didn’t have room for them at her house. COMMITTEES: KI7AO reported on the CCC Race. It is only 4 weeks away now. He is still looking for help. He just has a minimum of help now. He will be meeting with the organizer soon and then send out info too all. The Whiskey Dick Triathlon is next Saturday. The course has changed this year but thanks to Gloria’s efforts she has the course covered. Gloria also said that according to the website the 50K South Cle Elum Ridge Race has changed dates. It will be September 19th. Gloria still needs volunteers for that race. OLD BUSINESS: Jack still has one of the computers that he acquired from the company on the Westside. If anyone is interested contact Jack. They need a monitor but Fred volunteered an old 13 inch monitor. NEW BUSINESS: There will be a digital training net tonight after the regular ARES net at 8PM. It will be voice on Lookout, 444.925, and the NCS will direct the exercise. KI7AO, Bill, made a motion that the Club start a checking account at Bank of America. KE7WRY, Tim, seconded the motion. It was approved 100% on the vote. Jack will get the account set up. MISCELLANEOUS BUSINESS: It was decided to plan our annual dinner at the Homestead. Jack will call and make the reservation for September 26th at 6PM. The meeting was adjourned at 0829 hours.
