Members present: KC7ZUM Ray, KI7AO Bill, WA7GYD Gloria, KE7CXD Jim, KB7XQ Bill, N7XCJ Mary Jo, KC7NTP Hazel, W7TXU Jim, KE7GPG Iris, KB7ZYJ Charles, KE7APW Steve, Barbara, KD7DGB Jul, Barbara, WB7TMV Charlie, KC7ZQD Beth, and N7XEQ Craig.
COMMUNICATIONS: None
COMMITTEES: KE7APW, Steve, reported that the Runner Stumbles race went well. Thanks to the efforts of John, KD7MDX, and others the special event station went quite well. The highlight of the event was the fine feed that Gail (MDX’s XYL) brought down. John has some ideas for next year do the event again. KI7AO, Bill, gave an update on the 100 mile race coming up on the 23rd. He could still use all the help he can get.
OLD BUSINESS: Among others the Morman group were on the ARES callout for the airplane crash. Search and Rescue were called out for the plane crash in the Nachees drainage. The Sheriff called ARES for communications on that event as the public radio sites could not get out. KI7AO, Bill, with the help of Bob Johnson, KC7BDC, and others set up a EOC at Kittcom. This station worked out extremely well. The EOC was manned Friday night and until late Saturday. This was the first time ARES was called out by the Sheriff.
NEW BUSINESS: KE7BRS, Ken, is looking for help with the 50K on 13 September. It runs from 9AM to 4PM.
