MEETING CALLED TO ORDER AT 8:00 A.M. BY Vice-President Dick Morrison
REPORTS OF OFFICERS: Treasurer $1260.65
Members present: W7USR Tom, KD7MDX John, N7XCJ Mary Jo, KI7AO Bill, KC7ZUM Ray, KE7CXD Jim, KC7BUC Elmer, Margaret, WA7GYD Gloria, N7AAW Boyd, KA7BRS Ken, KE7CNL Joanie, AA7PR Dick, KB7LHE Dian, KB7ZYJ Charles, WB7TMV Charlie, K7RZS Phil, W7TXU Jim, K7TFM Dick, KB7XQ Bill, WA7HNH Jack, KK7VL Jim, and KE7GPG Iris.
COMMUNICATIONS: Bill, KI7AO, has maps and directions to aid stations for the CCC race.
COMMITTEES: Bill, KI7AO, got a good rumor that the grant from Law & Justice is forthcoming. August 18th or 19th will be a post race meeting on the Runner Stumbles Race. The Whiskey Dick Triathlon went very good and had many good comments. Jim, KE7CXD did a Very fine job.
OLD BUSINESS: Bill, KI7AO, is going to send an email to Rod, KC7VQR, to find the status of the 147.24 repeater.
NEW BUSINESS: Jim, KE7CXD and a group are going to prepare a syllabus for a Technician class. Jack, WA7HNH, will go over the General class theory if the interest is there. It was decided to get a list of new Hams from the ARRL. Boyd, N7AAW, talked about the gear available from Ed Sullivan, KB7ALD.
MISCELLANEOUS BUSINESS: The Public Health Dept put on an emergency preparedness class. AA7VT asked all to check their training status on his sheet. All organized events are now to be logged on ICS Form 214. KI7AO made a motion was made for the Club to pay ½ on something for N7KGS in recognition of his many years of service for the County Hams. WA7HNH made a motion to get a banner advertising Amateur Radio at events. W7USR seconded the motion.
The meeting was adjourned at 0835 hours.
